QUAD PAWL
The WH SUB-L5 QP is the first lever hoist with a four pawl set instead of one or two! The design of the 4 pawls is unique and patented. In contrast to the usual 1 or 2 pawls in a hoist, the 4 pawls provide a finer adjustment and more tensioning force, while maintaining the engagement of the pawl on the gear. The stainless steel pawl springs are fully enclosed in the brake chamber and, unlikely as it may be, should both pawl springs fail, the patented design ensures that the four pawls remain in full working order with the ratchet gear, ensuring its continued safe operation.
