The HA series of William Hackett's top link is one of the most complete series available today. We supply the HA top link in various diameters and working loads; up to 100 tons!
The link is made of triple alloyed steel according to EN1677. Each layer is separately tested for 2.5 times the working load according to EN1677. The shims are suitable for use in a temperature range from -40°C to 200°C without reducing the working load limit. The outer layer of the HA top link is coated with a zinc-tough layer. This means that there is no risk of hydrogen embrittlement. Other properties of zinc-tough are:
- No influence on the mechanical properties
- Corrosion resistant
- Good adhesion properties for coating, spark-free
- Wear-resistant
- Environmentally friendly processing: no chemicals or heavy metals!
- The HA links are widely used in lifting sets for offshore containers and are approved according to DNV 2.7-1.
