Product information
The HA series of master links for 4-legged chains from William Hackett is one of the most complete series available today. We deliver the HA master link in different diameters and working loads; up to 150 tons!
The master link is made of triple alloyed steel according to EN1677. Each layer has been tested separately for 2.5 times the working load according to EN1677. The shims are suitable for use in a temperature range from -40°C to 200°C without reducing the working load limit. The outer layer of the HA top link is coated with a zinc-tough layer. This means that there is no risk of hydrogen embrittlement. Other properties of zinc-tough are:
- No influence on the mechanical properties
- Corrosion resistant
- Good adhesion properties for coating, spark-free
- Wear-resistant
- Environmentally friendly processing: no chemicals or heavy metals!
These HA links are widely used in 4-legged hoisting sets for offshore containers and are approved according to DNV 2.7-1 under approval number TAS000013Z Rev. 2.
